Learning & Development Manager

  • Permanent up to £50,000 + bonus + 5% pension

Oakleaf Partnership are representing a UK based law firm circa 650 ppl. The firm is headquartered in London and have recently put big investment into growing their northern presence with a large Manchester hub, Liverpool and Leeds office. This role will be the Manchester lead for the north.

What is the role

You will design and deliver a range of programmes covering soft skills, compliance, and leadership skills; as well as support solicitors through their SRA requirements. You'll work with the wider team and Head of L&D to manage legal training with the support of SME's in each department. You'll also manage the Associate Solicitor development programme which will cover the continuous development of their career post SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination). There is line management responsibility of a Coordinator in Manchester and a Senior Advisor in Leeds.

Candidate profile / experience

The successful candidate will have experience of having successfully worked in a Learning & Development role, preferably within professional services. Ability to adapt and deal confidently with people of all levels, strong communication skills, and influence is desirable.
