Oakleaf is working with a successful manufacturing business which has gone through growth and is looking to bring in an experienced HR Manager who can help with day to day HR duties for this family owned scaling business.

The HR Manager Job would be predominantly focused on covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle while also supporting on day-to-day office duties. The business has grown with some exciting business plans as they move into this year so it's a real opportunity for you if you are looking to be the go-to person for all things HR.

The role is office based paying between £40-45,000 on a permanent basis.

HR Manager Job - Responsibilities

  • Maintain attendance and holiday records, approving holiday requests for all departments
  • Ensure all HR matters are kept up to date in our HR platform
  • Reconciles necessary records with monthly payroll
  • Managing sickness and lateness policies and procedures. Ability to hold back to work interviews professionally and with authority and challenge where needed.
  • Managing the relationship with and implementing advice from our HR Assistance support provider
  • Manage staff annual reviews, promotions and changes of department with appropriate heads of department
  • Organising induction / onboarding programme for new employees
  • Manging any leavers and conducting exit interviews
  • Managing any disciplinary matters and taking meeting minutes where necessary
  • Organising and approving contractors and their invoices
  • Identifying suitable candidates, providing information about the roles available and booking interviews if suitable for department heads
  • Initiating outbound telephone calls, emailing and using various social / professional platforms to contact potential candidates
  • Health & Safety - ensure compliance
  • Greeting guests and making them feel welcome
  • Answering the switchboard and relaying messages to various departments
  • Managing small office purchases and budget What We Offer * Ongoing training and development
