Job Details

Your new company
This is a chance to join an organisation really making a difference to the environment through science and research. The L&D function has been through a period of transformation and now plans to focus on value added services to the business, developing more in house training and resources and evolving development programmes suitable for the business.

This is a hybrid working opportunity and you can expect to spend your time collaborating with the wider HR function, getting to know the business, facilitating training and working from home too.

Your new role
This is a newly created role within the existing function and it is a chance for the business to review the success of bringing this level of skill into the team. There is no shortage of work you can get stuck in with during this contract and you can expect to be taking on a lead/contribution role across the below areas

  • Design or perhaps evolve existing training content, ensuring its fit for purpose
  • Facilitate in person training and use digital platforms to deliver online training
  • Develop evaluation methods for training
  • Expand existing content on the LMS and roll out to the business
  • Review skills required across the organisation including supporting with future skills/future workforce capability requirements
  • Support the L&D manager on various ADHOC projects

What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking for a creative, engaging individual to join their team and take ownership of this newly created role. Ideally, you will come with some L&D experience having taken the lead on similar projects previously. Our client is also open to considering a HR generalist who has touched upon L&D previously but perhaps has not yet had the chance to specialise. CIPD/ILM or a coaching qualification would be highly desirable.

What you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity for someone to get 12 months experience under their belt in a busy, varied L&D role and would be a great stepping stone opportunity for someone looking to side move from general HR into L&D as a discipline. It is also a fantastic role for an L&D Practitioner who is looking to gain more experience. There is the possibility that this role could become a permanent need in the team if it proves to be a success during the initial contract.
