People Operations Manager for global non-profit in central Cambridge, £40-45k + hybrid working, permanent opportunity

I am proud to be working with my client in the not-for-profit sector based in central Cambridge who are seeking a People Operations Manager to support their busy and supportive team.


Your new role
As the People Operations Manager, reporting into the People Director and line managing 2x People Administrators, taking over responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation's people processes, systems and administration, as well as overseeing and ensuring the efficient delivery of timely and efficient processes cross the employee lifecycle.

This is a newly created role for the organisation and initially the main focus will be on UK people operations, taking the lead on the implementation of a new HRIS, overseeing UK payroll & benefits administration, as well as supporting on global people projects. You will also manage recruitment operations and take ownership of visas and sponsorship processes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will have experience gained in a similar role managing the full employee lifecycle. You will have line management experience and a strong knowledge of HR systems and how to develop them as a tool. You will also have a good understanding of payroll processes and administration.

You will possess a strong working knowledge of UK employment law, as well as GDLR and immigration legislation and they're application. You will have a methodical and analytical approach to work with a keen attention to detail with strong data analysis and reporting skills.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive remuneration of £40-45k salary, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 8% employer contributed pension, 4x life assurance.

This role offers hybrid working - ideally 3 days in the office with 2 from home. There is no on--site parking but thanks to its central location it has great public transport connections.
