Hays HR are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to work for a company based between Bradford and Leeds. Reporting to the HR Director the successful candidate will partner closely with the Directors and will be responsible for the delivery of operational HR as well as communication across the UK covering a Headcount of 70.


Duties will include:

  • Overseeing the production of job descriptions for all posts.
  • Leading on advertising all job vacancies
  • Leading on sourcing appropriate candidates
  • Supporting hiring managers on screening applicants
  • Conducting preliminary interviews.
  • Training and developing hiring managers on effective interview technique as required
  • Managing recruitment within budget
  • Advising the business on modern policies and procedures for keeping employees safe at work
  • Ensuring all employees undertake induction and refresher training on workplace safety
  • Managing sickness and absence
  • Promoting a culture of general health and well-being
  • Developing, managing and implementing contracts of employment
  • Developing, managing and implementing HR, training and employee policies and procedures
  • Measuring, evaluating and improving employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Supporting company-wide staff communication plans and approaches.
  • Leading, managing and advising on formal absence, disciplinary, capability, grievance issues.
  • Acting as the escalation point for HR related issues
  • Co-ordinating and supporting policies and procedures related to pay and compensation benefits and structures
  • Ensuring that company is compliant in all procedures and practices with current employment and business legislation
  • Ensuring the HR team comply with all business procedures and business legislation e.g. GDPR, ISO procedures etc.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a stand alone SME HR role.
  • The ability to work both alone and as an active team member.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • CIPD Qualified.
