HR Assistant, Insurance, Permanent, London City, £35-£38k


Your new company

Working for a large insurance business headquartered from London City (Fenchurch street), who are looking for a HR Assistant due to a recent internal promotion. You'll be reporting into a Senior HR Manager, aligned to the corporate functions client group, made up of 350 headcount. There is a HR team of 13 others, which includes other HR assistants, HR managers and centre of excellences.

Your new role

You'll be supporting the Senior HR manager in full employee life cycle activities, such as onboarding 1st day inductions, HR data analysis of absences, prepared HR presentation packs, etc..

• Build professional working relationships with employees and managers to support and guide on HR policy and practice.
• Take responsibility for the employee on-boarding process from offer stage through to completion of probation, managing the process flow and all related administration.
• Manage the leavers process including exit interviews, IT access and changes.
• Support the HRM and Head of HR with ER cases, arranging and attending meetings and taking notes as required
• Support cyclical HR activities such as performance review, pay cycles, talent reviews, engagement surveys etc. Guide managers and employees on policy and procedures such as absence, family related leave and flexible working.
• Maintain accurate data on all employee life cycle processes and keep HR systems up to date e.g. Workday.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous relevant generalist HR experience
• The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or hold a relevant professional qualification such as CIPD.
• A clear communicator both written and verbal
• Experience of using Workday.
• Experience of producing HR Metrics.
