The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.

We have a vacancy for a Senior Executive Officer Resourcing and People Lead in our Business Support Division

As an employer who puts our people at the heart of our business, this Resourcing and People Lead role is central to ensuring that the VMD is a great place to work.

You will foster the relationship between the VMD, as an executive agency, and Defra, our parent Department, to contribute to and embed Defra and Civil Service HR policies and objectives.

Working to ensure we maintain a well-trained, motivated, and content workforce that nurtures our diversity, you will lead our learning and development programme and take a proactive approach to our ‘Respect and inclusion’ initiatives.
