A 14 Month FTC opportunity for a HR Generalist to cover maternity leave, based in Fareham / remote.

Your new role

This is a 14 Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) to cover a colleague who is going off on maternity leave at the end of July 2023. You will work alongside 2 x other HR Generalists, with this particular position having a slight bias towards recruitment, working closely with a 2 x other people to support this.

As a member of the UK HR Team, the HR Manager is responsible for assessing and anticipating HR related needs of internal stakeholders to deliver value-added services in support of business objectives.The key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading talent acquisition activities including planning, selection, and onboarding.
  • Contributing to the business strategy and operational plans.
  • Delivering effective and efficient services and innovations to provide sustainable value add HR solutions.
  • Providing HR guidance and advice to managers and teams across the relevant divisions, acting as the first point of contact for all matters.
  • Involvement in UK, regional and corporate HR projects, taking the lead in one strategic area.
  • Supporting the identification of learning and development needs and the development of plans at organisational, team and individual level Training and supporting the managers in employee relation matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance processes.
  • Implementing HR change and payroll processes.


Working hours are 37 / week, Monday-Thursday (8.30am-5pm) and Friday (8.30am-4.30pm). You will be based at the Fareham office 3 days / week with 2 days working remotely.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have good experience in a similar HR Generalist role (HR Advisor / Senior Advisor / HR BP) with strong knowledge of employment law, recruitment / onboarding processes (including conducting interviews), leading ER case work, HRIS and L&D / training.

Due to the nature of this role being an FTC, you must be immediately available or available on short notice (within 4 weeks).

This varied FTC opportunity offers a salary between £43,000-£48,000 (DOE), 26 days holiday +BH's, free onsite parking, EAP and flexible (hybrid) working as above.
