Actively seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a high growth accounting firm based in central London. This is a newly created role with a business going through multiple acquisitions.

Client Details

Our client is a well respected accounting firm going through high growth. Due to this growth they have created a Group Head of Operations to support in managing the people and operations of the business.

Description

  • Advising, coaching and embedding management capability to support best practice in the management of people issues.
  • Ability to deal with compliance - ICAEW, CIOT, FCA.
  • Management of a team up to 40 employees and advising Managers and Leaders with honest, pragmatic, and accurate People and HR support.
  • Adapting in a high growth environment and supporting with operational management.
  • Supporting with acquisitions.
  • Providing HR support and guidance of a full range of employee relations issues: maternity, paternity, parental leave, sickness and absence, performance
  • Supporting the delivery of induction programmes and manage probation periods.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff
  • Working with outsourced support on monitoring, reviewing, and updating all People policies and ensure these are in line with current legislation.
  • Build a culture of learning and development, working closely with the leaders of the organisation to identify key learning and development areas and develop career paths.
  • Analysing productivity data and optimising staffing and production capacity.
  • Using historical records to forecast future buying patterns
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of accounting firms including challenges and opportunities in the sector
  • Working closely with Partners to improve efficiency.
  • Designing new processes to improve quality or increase productivity or profitability.
  • Managing budgets.

Profile

  • Ability to deal with compliance - ICAEW, CIOT or FCA.

  • Strong people management experience.

  • Experience in working in a growth environment.

  • Professional services, Financial Services or experience in a similar environment is essential.
