Description

  • Work with Line Managers and Commercial Finance to determine whether like for like recruitment is required when an employee leaves in your area, ensuring all recruitment forms are filled in correctly and sent to the Talent Acquisition Specialist for processing.
  • Monitor probation period process by reminding managers, receipt of Probation Period Form at 6 and 12 weeks and issuing Probation End Confirmation Letters & Welcome Gift information.
  • Review resignation letters and address any potential grievance situations, informing the Senior HRBP of any concerns
  • Review and discuss any job changes/adjustments in your divisions with the Head of Department and Finance Business Partner.
  • Provide detailed advice and assistance to managers on all Employee Relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, redundancies, absences, sickness, maternity, paternity, and adoptive system adhering to the Company's policies and procedures and current legislation, ensure appropriate and timely formal letters are sent out at each formal process.
  • Assist on the design and/or delivery of key projects in line with department objectives, organisational changes, and continual improvement initiatives with the aim of achieving alignment and effective communication of key HR priorities.
  • Provide coaching and development to managers through one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Ensure management are informed and appropriately trained in all policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Senior HRBP to arrange training courses as requested (in-house and external) and issue Training Indemnity Contracts where appropriate.
  • Work with the Senior HRBP to action any L&D and Engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS - Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources
  • Qualified member of CIPD Level 5
  • Working as a Generalist HR Advisor within a busy HR department
  • HR experience in Retail or FMCG companies with high levels of change and pace
  • A commercial approach to dealing with HR issues
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task but work using own initiative
  • High attention to detail and accuracy whilst working with high volumes and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong relationship skills and ability to influence at mid-management level.
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Proven experience in using HRIS preferably Resource Link
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
