I am exclusively partnering with a global financial services organisation, a Fortune 500 company, and a leader in global providers of life reinsurance and financial insurance. My client is looking to recruit a highly experienced Shared Services Ops Manager and Workday expert to build out a Shared Services offering across their EMEA region of c500 FTE, reporting into the Head of HR Service.

You will be an experienced HR Shares Services Ops Manager with deep expertise of Workday as a HRIS integration tool across the employee lifecycle. This role will be crucial in ensuring a best-in-class employee experience is enabled, processes are lean and fit for purpose. Initially you will have one report based out of South Africa but will be able to build out team over time including hiring during Q4.

Your key responsibilities include:

Coordinate HR operations activities across the region, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency

  • Provide direction and oversight to HR Data Specialists, cultivating an environment of development and sharing of best practices, and monitoring workload. This role includes the combination of direct reports, guiding and influencing those who do not have direct reporting relationships, and hands-on operational work
  • Ensure all supporting tools, policies and documentation are up to date, maintained and continually improved
  • Oversees adherence to standard operating procedures and service-level agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of employee data and processes
  • Promote and champion a great employee experience throughout the employee life cycle
  • Establish effective and collaborative partnership with the country HRBPs to deliver borderless services

Drive culture of continuous improvement, ensuring HR processes are optimised and aligned across the region and global team (as appropriate)

  • Lead process improvement and automation efforts across the EMEA teams by working in partnership with process owners to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our processes and positively impact the employee experience
  • Scope, develop, implement, and maintain development automation capabilities and continuous improvement solutions that meet the highest quality standards and leverage leading practices
  • Champion the continuous improvement vision and train / enable a "citizen development" mindset within our HR community to identify and implement solutions as part of everyday activities
  • Collaborate across the HR organization to understand and anticipate automation and continuous improvement needs; translate them into technical product and process requirements or models to enable them as organizational or functional capabilities

To be successful, you will have worked in a similar financial services regulated environment having deep expertise of creating a shared service platform with Workday integration across multiple EMEA jurisdictions. You will have proven experience in shared services operational excellence ideally gained through AGILE or SCRUM methodologies or Six Sigma techniques for execution and embedment as well as leadership and influencing capability.
