Employee Relations Manager

Newly created role, working in a tight-knit HR team for an international bank. Based in their London office the Employee Relations Manager will work closely with the Head of HR and business partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational and strategic employee relations and/or experience working in private practice specialising in employment law.

This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist advice in line with the banks ER policies
• Manage and advise on all ER Matters including disciplinaries and grievances
• Carry out all investigations and recommend actions to the business partners
• Manage mediation facilitation
• Prepare all documentation
• Support and advise on appeal matters
• Provide consistent advice, guidance and coaching
• Ensure all ER policies are up to date
• Lead on all complex ER cases

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Strong ER experience, ideally across financial services
• Expert knowledge of UK employment law
• Private practice employment law experience will also be considered
• Experience managing complex ER cases
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of FCA regulations
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines

This business operate a hybrid at home/office working. The successful candidate will be required to be in the office (based in London) 3 days per week.
