People & Culture Manager

Permanent HR opportunity to join a fabulous organisation overseeing their UK sites.


Hays HR is delighted to be working with an innovative organisation on the recruitment of a People & Culture Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis!

This role is remote but you will be required to travel to their site in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, once a month. Within your new role you will help to deliver on a range of strategic and operational activities, reporting into the HR Director of People & Culture, working across the People & Culture team on a European level.

• Remote working (1 day a month on site in Gateshead)
• Travel to European HR Conference (1x a year)
• £40,000 - £45,000 Annual salary
• Flexible working hours (Early or late start / Early or late finish)
• Birthday off
• Annual Salary Review

Your responsibilities will include supporting across the UK businesses who have employees located worldwide. You will also be involved in the following:

• Implementing a purposeful strategic and organisational people strategy
• Supporting the senior employees on business structures
• Identifying skill gaps - implementing training and development plans
• Supporting on the pay awards Wellbeing, ED&I and Environmental sustainability agenda
• Overseeing policies and procedures
• Supporting on Employee Relations and supporting line managers with long term sickness and Absence management

To be successful for this role you will be required to demonstrate experience working within a HR Operational role, implementing HR Systems and developing managers.

• CIPD Qualified or equivalent knowledge gained within HR
• Strong employment law knowledge
• Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
• Understanding and reporting on HR Metrics
