My client, a leading online ecommerce company specialising in children's fashion, is seeking a talented and dedicated People Manager to join their busy People team. As a People Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the People team, fostering their values and company culture, and ensuring the well-being of their employees.
Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and support to Line Managers on various People-related matters, escalating issues when necessary, and keeping the People Manager and Senior People Manager/Head of People informed.
* Collaborate with the People Manager, Senior People Manager/Head of People on Employee Relations and Performance Management concerns.
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of legislation and best practices to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, while aligning with my client's Tone of Voice and values.
* Oversee the management of the People Team Inbox, improving workflow and ensuring timely responses to queries and concerns.
* Manage the onboarding process, ensuring it reflects and aligns with their company culture and values.
* Provide counseling, support, and guidance to all employees, demonstrating approachability and reflecting my client's culture and values.
* Utilize in-depth knowledge of my client's HRIS (CoreHR/Access) and collaborate with the wider team to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
* Collaborate with Line Managers and the People Team Advisor to manage content on their Social Hub.
* Support the Recruitment Manager and assist with recruitment activities.
* Manage the internal and external training program, including new starters and line managers, and create a comprehensive training plan throughout the year.
* Contribute to People Team projects and provide ad hoc support as needed.
Essential Skills:
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 minimum).
* Previous HR Generalist experience.
* Experience with HRIS, preferably CoreHR/Access.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexible and collaborative mindset.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired Skills:
* Previous Generalist experience within an online ecommerce business or similar.
This is a full-time position based in Kent, offering a hybrid work arrangement with some remote working. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 2 days per week at the office.
