A Financial Services firm based in the City of London seeks an Interim HR Services Team Manager to lead, engage and manage a team that delivers HR Services in the UK to all of our client's employees including some support for wider EMEA locations.

Services include joiners, movers, leavers, employee screening, performance management, HR data governance, risk reporting, HR risk management, HR supplier management, HR service management

Description

The Interim HR Services Team Manager will have the following accountabilities and responsibilities for multiple services across entities and locations:

Service Owner

  • Develop and maintain the vision, strategy, objectives and operating model for the service. Ensure the development of a customer service and performance culture
  • Subject matter expert and functional owner of the policy, processes, systems and providers that support the service
  • Responsible for ensuring the team deliver the services on time (to SLAs), on budget and to the right quality levels
  • Partner with HRBPs and senior business leaders to ensure organisation designs and changes to structures support the strategic direction of the business
  • Continually look for ways to align service to the Company culture and improve the employee experience enhancing productivity and engagement in the service
  • Thought leader who connects with external sources of good practice and proactively contributes to continuous improvement and business transformation needs, driving the service to deliver strategic objectives and value
  • Leads the analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of service improvement programmes that deliver a positive, measurable impact to the business
  • Positively respond to legislation and regulation to ensure the service is compliant and take advantage of the opportunities it provides
  • Act as a role model, thought leader and influencer for service innovation and continuous improvement. Use a number of change management and user adoption techniques to drive the desired outcomes
  • Applies excellent judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for HR's customers, cost and risk
  • Drive and actively market HR's services and initiatives to HR's customers and partners
  • Work closely with the business (employees and managers) to drive adoption and compliance with the service procedures
  • Maintain the HR Intranet - content and structure

HR Third Party Supplier Management

  • Responsible for managing the service provider (e.g. payroll, benefits, immigration) ensuring that they deliver services on time, on budget and to the right quality levels. Comply with the Groups third party risk management framework. Review providers performance regularly and conduct market reviews periodically

HR Data Governance

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity

Project Management

  • Manage projects that change and improve these services and systems including regulatory projects and strategic business projects that require changes to be made/new services and functionality
  • Support strategic and high priority business projects

People Management Team Members

  • Communicate to the team HR Services, HR and the wider business strategy and objectives
  • Set business and personal development priorities
  • Provide proactive and effective feedback on progress in meeting those priorities and provide appropriate support for personal development
  • Ensure the workload is distributed appropriately across the team
  • Ensure appropriate quality levels are being met
  • Listen to team members feedback, views and ideas
  • Support a positive work culture

Profile

An Interim HR Services Team Manager with the following skills / experience:

  • Excellent team manager with a strong focus on employee engagement and team development
  • Strong judgement that spans complex HR service through to strategic insight on services to the employee life-cycle
  • Strategic thinker balanced with a strong record of execution
  • Excellent track record of HR management, developed in a knowledge based industry in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Highly disciplined individual with ability to form and express well-reasoned arguments and to influence senior management
  • Confidence and personal presence to gain the respect of both peers and senior management
  • Degree level education and/or equivalent professional qualifications are desirable
  • Experience and knowledge in delivering the services listed above
  • Experience with the systems used to deliver the service
  • Possess and maintain up-to-date knowledge of key trends in HR
  • Strong customer services focus
  • Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible and adaptable manner within a global organisation
  • Flexibility to contribute to ad-hoc projects and have an open mind and attitude to problem solving and change
  • Able to be versatile and adaptable as the situation dictates to deal positively with ambiguity
  • Good eye for detail
  • Critical thinking and analytical in approach to business challenges
  • Ability to think creatively and be innovative in solutions that are delivered
  • Experience in working with people from different countries and cultures
  • Acts with highest standards of integrity and fairness to colleagues and clients

Job Offer

A competitive day rate, inside IR35 so PAYE, depending on skills / experience.
