  • £55,500
  • 6 month FTC (with an opportunity to go permanent)

I am pleased to be working with my client, a well renowned global charity that is looking for a Head of Governance. This role is responsible for the company secretariat function and plays a key part in the provision of guidance to the board.

About the role;

This role has responsibility for the governance calendar including scheduling, agenda setting, commissioning papers and production of meeting notes for general and board meetings. This role has 3 direct reports. You will maintain relationships with all heads of departments, executive directors, and the board to ensure a coordinated approach to the governance of the organisation. You will act as company secretary to provide advice and guidance to the board. Support the chair and chief executive in fostering collegiate and constructive ways of working between the board, its committees, and the executive. Develop performance information and KPI's on governance and compliance for the board and executive team.

The Person;

You will have experience in operating in a formal governance system as a secretariat function to schedule an annual governance cycle, set agendas, commission papers, assemble meeting packs and production actions/meeting notes. You will have experience as a leader and manager and having managed experience of large budgets. You are experienced in prioritising competing demands and managing expectations from multiple stakeholders.
