Senior Learning and Development / HR Advisor
Not for Profit
£35,000 - 40,000 + travel expenses to the office, and strong benefits
Either 52 weeks or working Term Time only (salary will be pro-rata'd) Part time hours also considered
Stevenage, Hertfordshire
12 month Fixed term contract
Covering a maternity leave, working for a not for profit organisation in the education sector supporting senior leaders with learning, development and generalist HR support in a hybrid contract role
Working closely with the wider HR team, you will be responsible for supporting a range of stakeholders with their learning paths as well as delivering advice on senior HR generalist topics
Travel in the county of Hertfordshire is required for this role, all travel expenses are paid, to the office as well as travel to multi-site.
Duties
- This is a hybrid role and a mixture of L&D Advisor and a Senior HR Advisory role
L&D -
- Support the full learning and development delivery and support, owning learning and development for key stakeholders and their teams
- Work on small segments of learning, a blended approach digitally as well as in person training and delivery
- Work with the HR team to establish support needed and create learning plans
- Create new learning if required and champion best practice
HR Generalist -
- Be an expert in generalist HR and provide expert advice and guidance on a range of topics
- providing ER, employment law, Tupe, redundancy and similar guidance when needed
- Pick up generalist queries that may be escalated from the HR Advisors
- Support the recruitment team with the recruitment when needed from a stakeholder management perspective
Experience & Skills
- You'll be a strong relationship builder and able to give sound HR and L&D advice
- Experience in a L&D and Generalist HR role, this could be a Generalist role with an L&D element, there is flexibility around this.
- CIPD Level 5 as a minimum level of qualification, or relevant experience at this level
- Experience working with stakeholders to identify where support is needed from an L&D perspective and put in place a learning path or relevant training
- A good broad generalist background, exposure of recruitment, policy and processes, learning and development and employee relations
