The Part time HR Advisor assists with day to day operations of the HR and recruitment functions and duties, in the Guildford office.

Client Details

Our client is a well known Education and Training School based in Guildford. You will be working within a professional team that will offer you an incredible amount of exposure and experience with a view to progress and develop.

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Be cognisant of all company policies and procedures
  • Write and send invitation to formal meeting letters in line with our policies and templates and as agreed with the Executive Team
  • Provide guidance to line managers and the Executive Team in relation to employment matters
  • Attend all formal meetings relating to employment matters
  • Write and send confirmation letters following all formal meetings, ensuring these are saved to file and any required system updates take place
  • Ensure meeting minutes are typed up and distributed within 72 working hours of the meeting ending
  • Sit as part of the DBS risk assessment panel
  • Attend ad-hoc, non-frameworked meetings as a representative of HR, providing support in terms of employment law and company policies and procedures. Feeding back to the rest of the HR team.
  • Represent HR at the monthly sessions with our lawyers and act as note taker, distributing notes to all participants
  • Run HR Payroll close down processes
  • Support the HR team in more complex HR queries

Profile

The successful HR Advisor will have the following qualities:

Essential Experience

- A minimum of 3 years experience in HR roles

- A minimum of 1 year experience in an HR Advisory position

- Experience working in small businesses

Essential Skills

- A confident multi-tasker

- High organisational skills

- Able to tailor communication to different audiences

- Confident working in a fast-paced environment

- Able to remain calm under pressure/ in difficult conversations

- Previous HRIS user

- Employment law knowledge

Desirable Qualifications

- Educated to degree level

Desirable Experiences

- Experience within the Education or Care sector

- Experience with Google Docs and Google Sheets

- A previous user of bespoke HRIS systems
