HR Data Analyst

  • 6 Month FTC
  • £40,000 - £47,000 DOE
  • 35 Hour work week
  • 21% Pension
  • Office location: Central London
  • Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week in the office

I am currently partnering with a prestigious institution in the Higher Education space in search of an experienced HR Data Analyst. The post holder will be working closely with HR managers to understand requirements and develop reporting, data, and analytics across HR. The role will also produce annual HESA reports.

The HR Data Analyst responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively source relevant data from the HR system (ResourceLink) and from other sources where required, liaising with relevant data owners.
  • Produce regular reports linked to KPIs and other key HR metrics. Provide insights and identify trends In the data.
  • Lead the data design and reporting for regular staff surveys.
  • Produce the annual HESA reports and other higher education sector reports for the REF/ TEF.
  • Pay gap reporting.
  • Pay surveys.
  • Work with the Senior Data Analyst to maintain the post register within ResourceLink.
  • Establish and maintain effective data flow processes between teams within HR Services.
  • Draft specifications for new reports and work with IT to develop, test and implement those reports.
  • At all times keep abreast of and meet data protection and GDPR legislation & guidelines.

What you must have:

  • Strong experience in HR data and reporting, with the ability to clearly convey findings and insights.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, e.g. use of functions / formulae for efficient data cleansing, using Pivot Tables to extract and manipulate data, and providing clear visualisation of results.
  • Good knowledge of data analytics tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Experience using and extracting data from ResourceLink would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in HESA reporting would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of data protection and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
