2 days in the office & 3 days WFH

I am working with a UK Bank in their search for a Learning & Development Manager to lead the strategic L&D plans for the business. This role will support continued professional development as well as everyday BAU Learning & Development requirements including regulatory mandatory training. The successful candidate will need to have experience working within a small HR department as well as a standalone L&D role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop in collaboration with the broader Executive team the L&D strategic plan ensuring alignment to the Business Strategy.
  • Own the L&D policy, budget and processes and procedures ensuring what is available meets the requirements of the broader business.
  • Professional Development ensuring clear policy and communication.
  • Work in partnership with broader business leaders to evaluate training needs, reviewing and developing a L&D framework.
  • Own the development and implementation of the Bank's apprenticeships, internships and work experience programme building our emerging talent pipeline.
  • Own the development/evolution of the Banks approach to Induction for all new starters.
  • Own the L&D internal brand.
  • Identify and develop appropriate and relevant training courses to address areas of opportunity across the organisation leveraging various methods of delivery.
  • Work in partnership with the broader HR team.
  • Own the Banks approach to succession planning and talent development.
  • Own the Performance Management Framework.
  • Manage all senior Coaching and Senior development activities.
  • Provide an ongoing review of our approach to L&D.

Skills:

  • Previous L&D Manager or standalone L&D experience
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
