Your new organisation:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a large and high-profile Public-Sector organisation in Cardiff, Wales. My client is looking for a HR Advisor to their high skilled and experienced team on a permanent basis.
Your new role:

Roles include but do not limit to:

  • Supporting HR and payroll manager in delivering a proactive HR service
  • Support the HR function by managing day to day operational HR activities.
  • Providing and guidance to employees and managers in line with employment legislation and the companies policies and procedures
  • Assistance with HR projects when required.
  • To delegate queries to the HR assistant as appropriate
  • Engage in and advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, flexible working queries and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate data is submitted to payroll for processing.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including writing job descriptions, preparing interview packages and assist with the vetting and referencing tasks.
  • To administer, monitor and maintain HR information using the HR Metrics/HRIS system, reporting HR Data as and when required.
  • Contribute to policy review and development
  • To assist with training and development activities and deliver training as required
  • To ensure a detailed and comprehensive filing system (electronic and manual) is maintained
  • To contribute to health and wellbeing and employee benefits initiatives
  • To maintain appropriate confidentiality of information relating to the organisation and its people and maintain compliance with GDPR
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the HR Advisors and HR & Payroll Manager

What you'll need to succeed:

You will ideally have a CIPD qualification or will have experience in working within a HR role, end-to-end recruitment, working with unions and dealing with sensitive situations such as hearings. You will have great relationship, negotiation, and communication skills along with confidence providing advice in line with the latest legislation and using Excel.

What you'll get in return:
The role is a permanent placement, and you will be required to work 37.5 hours weekly. The role is based in the Vale of Glamorgan but offers a hybrid / flexible working option (3/4 days per week in the office) and is offering a salary of £30-35k.
