£26,000-£30,000 plus excellent benefits

Payroll superstar needed! Payroll is an integral part of any business….after all we all come to work to get paid (and of course for the love of our jobs!) If you are someone who is truly passionate about payroll then this could be a great opportunity for you. Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will work as part of a small team to process a number of payrolls to ensure the workforce of over 1200 employees are paid on time and kept happy! In return, this company offers a very comprehensive benefits package which includes a Defined Benefit Pension scheme and Private Health Care.

The payrolls are not particularly complex but this role does require an individual with a good level of payroll experience. Would you be comfortable performing manual calculations if needed? Do you know your way around excel and are able to do Vlookups? Is your payroll legislation knowledge up to date?

Day to day duties include:

* Performing pay calculations for new starters, leavers, amendments and transfers
* Ensure all timesheets and absences are recorded and approved by the cut off date
* Checking for any anomalies and amending when required
* Checking rotas and inputting sickness and absence
* Performing Right to Work checks
* Calculating commissions, holiday pay, SMP & SSP
* Keep Payments & deductions spreadsheet up to date
* Producing E-Payslips, P45's and statement of earnings
* Answering any payroll queries

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

* A passion for payroll
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation e.g. Maternity pay
* Excel skills including Vlookups
* Be detail orientated and have the ability to work at pace with accuracy to meet deadlines
* Be a strong team player
* Strong attention to detail
* Confidence and not afraid to speak up and challenge / highlight issues

* Monday - Friday 37 hours contract
