A reputable client of Hays are looking to recruit for an HR Officer to join their office based in Lurgan.

Your new role
As HR Officer, you will be the first point of contact for managers on site, providing a proactive HR service to our teams and supporting the HR Manager. This is a varied, generalist role, where you will gain invaluable, hands-on experience to really develop your HR career. As the Human Resources Officer, you will take responsibility for managing the starter and leaver process, through to supporting low level disciplinaries and support with all other stages of the employee life cycle. As HR Officer, you key duties will be as follows:

• Act as the first point of contact for all HR related queries
• Provide case management, ER support
• Provide HR guidance and advice to line managers as appropriate
• Provide accurate data and statistics in a clear format
• Run reports and keep accurate records
• Attend disciplinary/grievance/absence related meetings as required
• Support interview processes
• Provide support to the HR Manager on HR operational projects, such as restructuring, TUPE and other project work
• Take accurate notes and minutes at meetings
• Support the HR Manager with engagement initiatives
• Support HR administrative tasks as necessary

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

• A good understanding of HR legislation
• A working knowledge of HR policies and procedures
• Experience in advising on HR matters such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management, and absence
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Great communicator at all levels
