Human Resources Business Partner – Supply Chain
Location: Cheshire with travel to sites across the UK and ROI

The HR Business Partner for Supply Chain supports the business by leading the strategic People agenda within Manufacturing and logistics. You will support business transformation, including the implementation of automation and robotics, while leading our teams through People Modernisation initiatives . As a HR Business Partner in Supply Chain, you'll travel with the business to sites across the UK and Ireland and work cross-functionally to provide solutions, or design and implement division-wide, strategic People initiatives
The role:
Defines the human resources strategy to support Supply chain and its Director by understanding strategic business goals and objectives; advising on the execution of organisational change initiatives; assessing human resources implications of various strategies; providing guidance to business leaders on human resources issues.
Partner with the client leaders and their staff, to provide strategic HR partnership to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable the Supply Chain function and the UK &ROI objectives objectives
Partner with the Leadership teams to develop and embed a contemporary organisational culture and leverage change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change and improve the employee experience
Act as an organisational & simplification champion who builds organisational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximise team performance
Strategically partner with Supply Chain Leadership teams to design and implement the most effective global organisational structures to drive horizontal teaming, reinforce compliance & safety culture, and drive business growth, simplification and maximised team performance
Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to business leaders, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills. Provide strategic coaching to key talent in extended client group as it pertains to succession planning, career path development, and performance management
Lead leadership assessment in the function, identifying key employee strengths and development needs to recognise, select, retain and develop key talent to drive total quality and regulatory excellence
Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines mentoring, training, etc.
Strategically lead business and HR team through critical HR operating rhythms such as People Reviews, salary planning, performance management, culture stewardship and change management
With the support of the HR team, develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent
Partner with broader HR team to share best practices, support local/site priorities, deliver cross-site/functional initiatives, and encourage team growth.
In addition to being a key member of the HR leadership team, you will also serve as a key member of the overall Operating Functions HR leadership team, partnering and engaging in overall talent and organisational planning activities for the HR function
The person:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and MSc in Human Resources or L7 CIPD qualified
Previous HR Business Partnering experience gained in a multi-unit operation within manufacturing or logistics ideally food or beverages production
Project Management Certification, Project management experience
Minimum 5 years of previous experience in Human Resource Business Partnership positions with increasing scope of responsibility and an understanding of employee life cycle processes
Understanding of HR concepts and principles gained either through formal education and/or work experience in client HR roles
Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, coaching and assessing leadership talent, and effectively interfacing with senior-level business and operations leaders
Potential to travel regularly to each site
Demonstrated HR experience in a multi-site supply chain environment. Ability to connect the dots and drive the HR agenda with proactive thought leadership
Demonstrated experience in making sound strategic HR decisions and assessing leadership talent and effectively with high-level business and operations leaders
Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive and diverse workforce
Confidence to voice opinions & ideas and ability to deliver tough feedback/coaching to leadership.
