Job Details

This role is an interim opportunity for 3 months with a possibility of extension to support a leading Defence Technology business in Reading through a busy period of projects around recruitment and restructures. This would be a good opportunity for an experienced HR Officer/Generalist with standalone experience to come in on short notice and support through exciting changes as well as up-skill an existing member of the team.

Client Details

Our client is a Tech Provider within the Defence Sector based in Reading. This role will include working with an HR Administrator on site and working closely with an HR Generalist in Stoke while working to support the team through a busy period of various projects. This role allows for a high level of involvement at all levels of HR.


The Interim HR Officer will be responsible for:

  • Internal administrative procedures such as recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, inbox management, payroll, employee database management, maternities, policy documents and more
  • Act as a senior and reliable HR member on the Reading team for employees and line managers to come to
  • Collate and manipulating data on the spreadsheet to move onto the internal HRIS (HiBob)
  • Support the HR Generalist who sits within Stoke with adhoc tasks
  • Possibility to get involved in current projects including Recruitment and Restructures
  • Support the Junior HR Admin and up-skill them where possible


The ideal Interim HR Officer will have the following skills/qualities:

  • Demonstrable generalist experience ideally within a small team environment
  • Discrete, and able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and diplomacy
  • High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to workload in a busy environment
  • Immediately Available/Available on short notice

Job Offer

The Interim HR Officer will receive:

  • A competitive pay rate - up to £150 day rate
  • 3 month assignment with a possibility of extension
  • Holiday pay from day 1

  • Support from me during the assignment
