HR / People Manager - site based - North East Lincolnshire / South Humber area - circa £50000 - plus car allowance and other benefits

Your new company
This is a manufacturing division of a national group looking after 2 busy sites and a HR Team.

Your new role
This is an excellent senior generalist / leadership HR role where you will use your HR knowledge to the full in both an operational and strategic/project capacity. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting to the Site Manager, with additional dotted reporting line to the Head of People at Head Office.

This is a dual site role - mainly working at the bigger facility in NE Lincolnshire but with some travel to the smaller site in Cornwall on a quarterly basis (or when required)

Managing the HR team of HR Advisors, HR Assistants and L&D; responsible for all HR activities of this this busy and fast paced site where your efforts are intrinsic to the site success.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the People and site teams to ensure that the site has a high performing, motivated and trained team of colleagues
  • Define and deliver a site people plan that is relevant to the local needs whilst in line with the group framework
  • Create a culture of respect where Managers engage with, listen to and respond to their team members
  • Coach and support the management team and your People team to improve performance and grow talent across the whole site
  • Ensure that all ER, IR and Payroll processes and procedures are legal and in line with Company standards
  • Own all temporary and permanent labour supplies into the sites, working with relevant parties to fill vacancies whilst ensuring a great candidate/colleague experience
  • Own and drive talent on your sites, ensuring development plans and succession plans are in place for all salaried colleagues
  • Ensure that the sites have the right people in the right place at the right time, and that training remains at the top of the leadership teams agenda
  • Proactively prioritise the Health and Safety of colleagues and customers at all times
  • Identify and deliver savings and work with the Operational teams to ensure that site labour budgets and labour efficiencies are delivered

This role is a site-based role working Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR Manager or an ambitious HR Professional looking to take their "next step up" into a leadership role.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Solid experience working as a HR Manager/Leader within a fast paced, operational, mix of blue/white collar environment such as manufacturing, logistics, distribution on warehousing.
Ideally some Trade Union experience
Experience of HR planning and projects aswell as senior generalist work.
HR team/staff management.

CIPD Level 7 ideally - but Level 5 as a minimum with a view to upgrading, plus demonstratable experience level.
