Job Details

A HR Specialist is required to join our team and optimise our human resources function within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in handling various HR issues and will be instrumental in fostering a healthy workplace environment.

Client Details

The company is a respected player in the retail sector with offices in Leeds and South Yorkshire. They employ circa 150 people and have a reputation for a strong commitment to quality, service, and ethical business practices.


  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
  • Devise strategic and practical plans for hiring quality personnel
  • Manage the entire recruitment process to meet staffing goals
  • Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organisation
  • Organise learning and development programmes
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Establish a positive and supportive relationship with staff members
  • Manage the performance review and appraisal system within the company


A successful 'HR specialist' should have:

  • Proven experience in an HR role
  • Knowledge of HR functions
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software (e.g. HRIS or HRMS)
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Strong communication skills

Job Offer

  • An estimated salary range of £50,000 - £55,000 FTE
  • Flexible part-time working hours with a 4-day work week
  • Work from home 2 days a week
