SMCR Operations Manager

  • Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the office

I'm currently working exclusively with an exciting organisation in the Financial Services space, in search of an SMCR Specialist to act as the firms SME in this area. The organisation is in an exciting period of its history and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SMCR expert to join. The role will sit within the Reward function, working closely with Reward, HR, and Compliance teams.

The SMCR Operations Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Being the SME for all SMCR matters.
  • Support the SMCR framework and delivery of its implementation and effectiveness.
  • Perform deep-dive reviews into policies and procedural documentation around SMCR.
  • Ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and senior management to maintain all BAU processes including Fitness & Propriety attestations.
  • Reporting to regulatory authorities regarding SMCR compliance including notifications of senior manager changes of certification status.
  • Work closely with HR and compliance teams in order to deliver the SMCR agenda.
  • Support the development of key communication material.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong SMCR understanding and experience within the financial services space is essential.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to work with SMF as well as other teams within the organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and data.
