A global financial services business in the city, are currently recruiting for a Employee Relations Specialist on a 3 month basis.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, legal and your key stakeholders this role will manage complex issues including absence management, performance management, flexible working appeals, probationary processes, redundancies, grievances, disciplinaries and appeals from start to finish. You will have expertise in the knowledge and application of employment law, HR policy and process to drive the resolution of employee relations issues.

  • Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations issues
  • Documentation of investigatory findings and conclusions
  • Use the ER case management system to log matters and use the associated data to gather insights, identify trends and develop proactive strategies
  • Provide HR advice, support and guidance to managers and employees to apply HR policy and procedures
  • Provide training and education sessions to employees and managers
  • Liaise with in-house Legal advisors & Head of Employee Relations where needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid employee relations case management and advisory experience and/or employment legal experience
  • Ability to assess risks with employee relations issues and take appropriate steps to achieve resolution
  • Knowledge and experience within a regulated and organisationally complex environment
  • Knowledge of employee consultation processes and requirements for consultation
  • Good counselling and advisory skills
  • Client focused

Details:

  • Immediate start
  • 3 months initially with potential for extension
  • Hybrid working - 3 days in the office
  • 3 months intially with potential extension
  • Day rate - PAYE
