This role is for a People Operations Supervisor who will lead a team of 3 in the HR Department, ensuring efficient and effective management of staff and day to day operations.

Client Details

This well-established organisation is based in Watford and offers hybrid working, as well as a generous benefits package for all employees. This is a People Operations Supervisor/ Team Leader role based in Watford for an 18 month FTC covering maternity leave, responsible for the line management of 3 HR employees, covering the administration for the employee lifecycle, i.e. onboarding, leavers, changes, background employment checks etc.


  • Supervising 3 HR members; conduct regular 1:1s, manage performance issues, ensure tasks are distributed and completed accurately etc.
  • Ensuring all HR activities comply with legal requirements in particular stringent compliance/ vetting checks.
  • Coordinating staff training and development initiatives.
  • Managing employee relations and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Overseeing administration relating to the employee lifecycle, i.e. starters, leavers, contractual changes
  • Escalate to the HR Manager as and where necessary


A successful 'People Operations Supervisor' should have:

  • Official or unofficial line management experience of a small HR team
  • Ideally a background within a heavily regulated industry that involves a more thorough vetting/ background screening process
  • Proficiency in HR systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of HR legal requirements and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
