Oakleaf is partnering with a leading global accounting firm to recruit for an ER manager to join their busy team. The role reports into the Senior Employee Relations Manager and will be responsible for providing expert guidance across the firm.

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Employee Relations Manager, you will lead the ER team, providing expert guidance and fostering robust employee relations across the firm. With responsibility for over 7,000 staff members, your role is pivotal in delivering exceptional ER/HR advice throughout the business. Your day-to-day will involve:

- Offering strategic advice to HR and business leaders on complex employee relations issues.
- Leading and nurturing an ER Advisor and Assistant ER Manager.
- Serving as the primary escalation point for intricate ER matters.
- Keeping abreast of employment law to manage ER cases effectively.
- Overseeing HR policy development to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Communicating legislative changes and delivering training to the HR team.
- Engaging in projects to enhance employee relations initiatives.
- Managing responses to Data Subject Access Requests and coordinating with various departments.
- Utilizing data and analytics to identify trends and inform future strategies.

Candidate profile/experience:

- Proven experience in an employee relations role, with a solid grasp of employment law.
- Demonstrated ability in team management or line management.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, capable of influencing at the highest levels.
- Aptitude for simplifying complex issues and driving problem-solving efforts.
- Experience in training and upskilling HR and business stakeholders in ER matters.
- Track record of reviewing, implementing, and managing policies and solutions.
- Proficiency in crafting clear documentation and recommendations for senior leaders.
