Embark on a pivotal leadership journey within a regulatory body committed to achieving world-class status through an unwavering dedication to excellence in governance and team development. My client is currently seeking a high-calibre Head of People and Culture to spearhead the evolution of its people strategy and foster a culture primed for the future.

In this high-profile and gratifying role, the successful candidate will provide visionary leadership to a dedicated team, driving the human resource functions and co-producing a transformative people strategy. This includes the revision of the current people plan and the development of responsive action plans to implement recommendations from recent policy reviews.

The role demands an individual with significant drive, energy, and resourcefulness, complemented by extensive experience in leading initiatives such as culture change, employee engagement, equality and diversity, leadership development, reward and remuneration, and succession planning.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the incumbent will play a crucial role in fostering collaboration and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with statutory responsibilities.

Responsibilities extend to providing expert support and advice to the Director of Corporate Services, the Senior Management Team, Chief Executive, and Chair, Council, Committees, Panels, members, and staff on all matters pertaining to people and culture.

The role requires a dynamic individual capable of making a significant impact swiftly, leading a high-performing team, and collaborating effectively with internal groups to ensure engagement and consultation in all activities.

Managing a small HR team, the Head of People and Culture will oversee HR service delivery for over 100 staff members and work in tandem with the Governance team to manage the engagement of committee, Council, and panel members.

Key duties include managing recruitment, training, reward strategy, equality and diversity, employee relations, staff well-being, and the execution of high-profile HR change projects integral to the People Plan Programme.

This role offers the chance to be at the helm of an extensive change programme.


Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven success in a Senior HR role with experience influencing CEO and Director level.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent.
- Comprehensive understanding of current employment law.
- Proficiency in HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Budget management experience.
- Project management skills are desirable.
