Job Details
A mid-sized professional services firm specializing in tax, audit, and advisory services have a brand new Senior HR Manager role available.
With 4 UK offices, the Senior HR Manager leads a team of four to deliver excellent HR services, managing daily operations, and acting as the primary HR contact for senior stakeholders.This role involves expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, benefits, and payroll, while also providing business partner activities to a group of 70. You will also collaborate with the HR Director on strategic initiatives is essential.
Management:
- Lead and support the HR team, including direct oversight of the HR Operations Administrator and indirect oversight of the Early Talent team.
- Business Partner responsibilities for a client group of 70, creating an aligned HR action plan. Advise on employment law and HR policy, resolve employee relations issues, manage complex casework, and coordinate DEI and Wellbeing activities.
HR Operations:
- Establish and monitor HR KPIs, manage joiner, mover, and leaver processes, develop absence management, and coordinate employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, develop HR policies, and manage payroll changes and salary benchmarking.
Resourcing and Onboarding:
- Adopt a business partnering approach for resource decision-making.
- Oversee recruitment and retention processes, ensuring successful graduate and school leaver recruitment.
- Support client groups with staffing needs, succession planning, and enhance recruitment and onboarding processes.
Talent Management:
- Oversee the annual appraisal process, manage underperformers, and work with Learning and Development on employee development plans. Identify high-potential talent and succession risks, and develop strategic HR projects and initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Experience in managing HR teams and operations in medium-sized businesses ideally within a partnership or broader professional services environment.
- Strong expertise in employee relations and business partnering is essential.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage varied workloads.
- Proactive, with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and autonomous, with a consultative decision-making approach and strong analytical skills. Good team player and people manager.
