Are you ready to shape the future of workforce planning? This brand-new role, based in London, offers a unique chance to craft and implement a strategic workforce framework from the ground up. Working closely with the Head of Organisational Capability, the L&D team, and the Talent team, you will be at the forefront of transforming our workforce planning approach. This is a rare chance to build a framework from scratch, moving away from reactive planning to a more strategic, forward-thinking approach. Engage with key stakeholders, including procurement, finance, and strategic HR Business Partners, ensuring a holistic view of workforce needs. Enjoy a blend of in-person meetings twice a week in London, while also having the flexibility to work on evolving projects that impact the entire organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continuously improve the strategic workforce planning process to align with organisational goals.
  • Create data-driven SWP models to identify future skills and integrate them with our location strategy.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of 5-year plans to acquire or develop necessary skills and capabilities.
  • Drive these plans through Strategic People Partners to support change projects, managing interdependencies, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Lead scenario planning workshops with business and HR colleagues to gather insights and collaboratively plan mitigation activities.
  • Conduct proactive external horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, market shifts, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, preparing detailed reports for senior leaders.
  • Develop and deliver tools and training to build strategic workforce planning capability within the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • CIPD Strategic Workforce Planning or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and driving strategic workforce planning methodologies in similar organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills, resourceful in sourcing and validating data to present recommendations.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence across all organisational levels.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

This role is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact on workforce planning, ensuring the right people with the right skills are in the right place at the right time. If you are forward-thinking, tech-savvy, and have a data-driven mindset, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
