Oakleaf Partnership are representing an insurance firm to recruit for a Learning and Development Advisor to join their busy team.
The Learning & Development Advisor will report into the Head of HR and have the chance to impact employee growth at all levels, from early-career initiatives to executive development.
The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including strategic planning, program design and delivery, budget management, and performance analysis.
About the role
The Learning & Development Advisor is a key position responsible for driving the company's learning and development initiatives across all levels of the organization.
This role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and employee growth. The advisor will create and implement comprehensive training plans, work closely with managers to identify skill gaps and design development programs that align with both individual career aspirations and business needs.
They will also manage mandatory training requirements, oversee early-career initiatives, and provide valuable insights on the return on investment of learning activities.
Candidate profile/experience
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of learning and development best practices, with proven experience in implementing successful L&D initiatives.
They should be adept at creating and delivering training programs for diverse groups and comfortable working with employees at all levels of seniority. Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a customer-focused, results-oriented approach.
Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office suite, is necessary, and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is advantageous.
While not mandatory, professional HR qualifications, relevant training certifications, and familiarity with HRIS systems would be beneficial.
