Job Details
Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this successful and highly personable Professional Services Organisation based in central Bath, to recruit an experienced HR Operations Manager for 8-12 months to cover for maternity leave. The role is to start in September 2024 and ideally we are looking for somebody who can work full-time with 3 days in the office in central Bath per week.
The purpose of the role is to lead and deliver an efficient and effective HR operational service to the business aligned to the HR Strategy, managing the HR operations team which in turn provides a quality advisory service across the business of c. 600 Employees.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operational Management
- Oversee and supervise all HR administration day to day tasks and processes
- Oversee and ensure the onboarding and off boarding process is efficient
- Deliver and co-ordinate all HR operational activity in the annual planner within the defined timeframes to include:
- Annual review process
- Annual bonus
- Salary reviews and benchmarking
- Annual promotion process
- Partner remuneration process (in conjunction with the Director of HR)
- Collaborate effectively across the wider HR team and Business Services to enable a joined-up approach between all process linked to HR activity
- Streamline and automate processes and systems to drive continuous improvement
- Provide regular HR reports and monitor HR operational metrics
- Ensure all templates and precedents are up to date
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and ensure the wider HR team are kept up to date
- Review HR policies on a regular basis to ensure they are up to date and aligned with our employer brand and compliant with relevant legislation
- Ensure HR compliance with GDPR
- Ensure that HR Operational Systems meet the needs of the department and business
- Ensure all data on the HR system is up to date and audited on a regular basis
- Support and develop the HR Operations team conducting 1-1's and reviews
HR Advisory Service
- Escalate technical and strategic matters that require support from employment consultant
- Act as a key point of contact for relevant Business Unit / Service Teams providing a consultative advisory service to managers and staff on all employee matters including performance management, restructuring and redundancy, maternity / shared paternal leave, absence, grievances and disciplinary
You will also support the Director of HR with any projects as required to deliver the HR strategy.
About You:
- Degree level qualification preferably in HR or Business-related field or full CIPD qualification
- Up to date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
- Experience of working in a professional services or similar background (ideally but not essential)
- Experience of managing others
- Proficient in HR Systems with the ability to produce and analyse data
- Proven experience is streamlining and improving processes
- Experience of leading HR projects
- Able to provide pragmatic and commercial HR advice
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Be able to act confidentially and diplomatically
- Travel to other offices across the M4 will be required on a regular basis
