Here at Oakleaf we are proud to be partnering with a well known sporting business who are seeking a Senior Manager of Learning and Development to join their HR team.
Location: London 3-4 days in office
Salary: £70k doe
About the Role:
As the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, you will be responsible for driving and executing the learning & development strategy that aligns with my clients organisational goals. You will create clear career and growth opportunities for all their employees and identify the future skills needed to accelerate business growth. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders, people partners, DEI & subject matter experts to identify training needs, develop impactful programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning. This role also needs someone who us expert at working with the apprenticeship levy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Implement and drive the learning and development strategy.
Lead initiatives that promote a culture of learning and growth.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance their learning programs.
Programme Development & Delivery:
Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions tailored to various employee levels and functions.
Design engaging e-learning content.
Identify training needs through stakeholder collaboration and performance gap analysis.
Lead the design and delivery of a group-wide onboarding program.
Evaluation & Improvement:
Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
Analyze feedback and data to continuously improve learning initiatives and ROI.
Implement methods to measure employee skill development and performance improvements.
The ideal candidate:
Proven experience in learning and development roles with a forward thinking business
Previous experience in owning, managing, and administering an LMS
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training delivery techniques
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to support decision-making
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
Creative and resourceful with a tenacious appetite to deliver
A positive, 'can-do' attitude
This is a sole contributor role with the help of a L&D admin.
