We have an opportunity for an HR Advisor / HR Generalist to join a busy HR team in Winchester for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
As an HR Advisor, you will be involved in a range of HR generalist activities including :

  • To run an efficient recruitment service, including advising mangers on all aspects of the process, to include terms and conditions and equal opportunities, participation in recruitment interviews and the preparation of offers of employment.
  • To ensure that all pre-employment checks & Vetting
  • Ensure variations to contracts of employment are processed accurately and efficiently with appropriate authorisation.
  • To provide HR advice to managers and staff on employment law, good HR practice, current terms and conditions and council policies.
  • To provide initial advice and assistance to managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • To advise employees on their maternity leave and ensure that administrative records are accurately maintained in accordance with statutory deadlines.
  • To advise employees and managers on the occupational health process and make and manage referrals to the occupational health provider as appropriate.
  • To provide regular update reports on recruitment data as required
  • To assist in the development and delivery of corporate training sessions as required.
  • To assist in the development and review of human resource policies and procedures.

Candidates

  • Were looking for an HR Advisor / HR Officer / HR Generalist / HR Coordinator with previous experience working in an HR team providing comprehensive HR generalist service.
  • You will need to be organised and have strong HR administration experience and be able to use your own initiative.
  • Two years working in an office-based environment in a large organisation
  • Two years working in an HR team
  • Knowledge and experience of applying legislation, guidelines, regulations, codes of practise and industry standards to key areas of responsibility
  • Preference for a CIPD qualification eg Level 3 / Level 5

This role is a 12-month contract and seeking someone to start asap in September. Possible that the role may be engaged on a temporary basis
Hybrid Working 50/50 on site in Winchester following the initial training period.
37 Hours Full Time
