Learning and Development Officer
6 Month FTC
Hybrid- lots of opportunity for remote work
£29,000

I am partnering with a wonderful charity who are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Officer to join their team on a 6 month fixed term basis. The purpose of this role is to provide an exceptional learning and development experience for the charity's employees and ensure efficient running of related systems and processes. Working collaboratively with Learning & OD Manager and the wider People team, the post holder will contribute to developing a learning culture across the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Act as the first point of contact for all learning and development enquiries, escalating to Learning & OD Manager as appropriate.
* Manage internal and external development events from start to finish; researching and managing relationships with external providers, promoting events, managing delegate attendance and evaluating feedback.
* Co-ordinate processes relating to individual and team learning event requests, ensuring they are authorised appropriately, and processing invoices.
* Manage the Learning Management System (Litmos) on a day-to-day basis to create and manage training events, as well as monitoring compliance and maintaining individual training records on the HR Information System (Natural HR).
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate information relating to learning and development on internal communications platforms, write promotional items and otherwise promote learning events using organisation's communication channels.
* Participate in learning and development projects as appropriate, this may include launching new features in a system.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should ideally be working towards or already holding a CIPD qualification. They must have demonstrable experience in Learning & Development, with a solid understanding of training event processes and administration. Strong experience in identifying and managing relationships with external providers is essential.
They should demonstrate strong data analysis skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, as well as experienced in using various systems such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Performance Management Systems, and HR Information Systems (HRIS). The role also demands accurate data inputting, record-keeping skills, and excellent organizational and time management abilities, including the capacity to multi-task and work independently. Finally, the candidate should be a passionate advocate for learning and development, demonstrating a commitment to their own self-development.
