HR Operations Specialist

Oakleaf Partnership are representing a global professional services firm to recruit for an HR Operations Specialist to join their people team on a part-time basis. This person will have a strong background in HR operations, query resolutions and end-to end support for HR across the employee lifecycle.

About the role

As the HR Operations Specialist, you will:

  • Provide HR operations support to both our EMEA and UK&I People Partnering teams
  • Act as a liaison between our People Services Team and local UK People Partner team
  • Handle escalations from Tier 1 to more complex Tier 2 HR matters
  • Work on a variety of HR tasks, including:
    • Complex family leave calculations
    • Flexible working requests
    • Garden leave arrangements
    • Sponsorship training provisions and bonus payment clauses
    • Probation matters
    • Long-term absence and GIP claims
  • Ensure data accuracy in Workday and support managers with self-service functions
  • Collaborate with the Reward team on legislative changes and MS LLP transfers
  • Oversee exit calculations, settlement agreements, and leaver processes
  • Support the People Partnering team with restructuring, integration, and redundancy activities

Candidate profile/experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Has significant experience in HR Operations, preferably in a Shared Services Centre model
  • Is proficient in using Workday and has intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Possesses knowledge of UK employment law (desirable)
  • Is tenacious, resourceful, and resilient
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships with stakeholders across EMEA
  • Can work effectively with both onshore and offshore People teams
  • Is able to analyse and present data using Excel
  • Has a flexible approach and can manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrates a commercially focused business approach
  • Communicates excellently in both written and spoken form
  • Can drive projects to closure with a highly organized and proactive mindset
  • Has proven experience in influencing others
  • Is personable and professional with a common-sense approach
