As the primary contact for HR operations, the HR Officer ensures smooth, compliant processes across recruitment, on-boarding, employee engagement, and training. This role supports senior leadership in fostering a positive work environment and driving key HR initiatives within a mission-driven organisation.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment processes
- Facilitate the on-boarding process
- Oversee staff exits
- Provide support and guidance to line managers on employee issues and performance management
- Drive culture initiatives
- Manage reward benefits and oversee health and safety for the team
- Support training initiatives by managing appraisals and identifying staff training needs
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices
- Maintain the HR system, ensuring it accurately reflects current contracts, personal details, and training records
- Produce quarterly HR KPI reports
Profile
A successful HR Officer should have:
- Experience in HR operations, with knowledge in recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, and policy management
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills to build effective relationships and manage team culture
