Job Details
We are working with an international law firm in their recruitment of an HR Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a varied Generalist role that will partner with the business to implement and deliver on the firms' HR strategy, policy and procedure across the full employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of UK and European employment law, with experience in a similar professional or financial services environment as an HR Manager or Generalist, the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders is essential.
The Role:
- Serve as the first HR contact for probation and entry-to-mid-level employee relations issues, building strong relationships with business units, including fee earners and corporate functions.
- Advise employees and leaders on training, performance, policies, career development, and conflict resolution to improve morale and productivity.
- Coach managers to handle employee relations issues effectively and support formal hearings for capability, disciplinary, or grievance matters in order to mitigate risk to the firm.
- Drive staffing and recruitment activities for the London office, including tracking roles, offers, and onboarding progress.
- Support salary surveys, compensation analysis, interviews, candidate evaluations, and extend offers within budget.
- Oversee background checks, contracts, onboarding, and assist with relocation, immigration, and secondments for international employees.
- Contribute to HR policy development, advise on benefits and compensation, and support job classifications and position descriptions.
- Assist with year-end performance processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of Performance and Growth Plans
- Support the implementation of global and local HR projects aligned with the strategic HR plan, driving change, communication, and value for employees and the business.
