I am partnering with a highly regarded Educational trust who are recruiting for a HR Generalist who will play a pivotal role where they will improve and run core talent processes, including talent reviews, succession planning and professional development. They will also be heavily involved in leading the design, implementation and evaluation of the learning and development offer for the central team.

This role reports into the Chief Talent Officer and sits at the heart of the Trust's talent team where they will work closely with heads of teachers and leadership development, the coaching faculty and wider talent team.

Responsibilities

Talent reviews and succession planning:

* Continuously improve and manage the core talent processes, including talent reviews and succession planning, ensuring that they align with the organisation's strategic goals.
* Facilitate talent review sessions with senior leadership, identifying high-potential employees and critical roles
* Develop strategies for career pathways and succession plans that support both employee growth and organisational needs.

Performance and professional growth:

* Oversee the performance management cycle, ensuring that it effectively supports employee development and performance improvement.
* Design and implement professional development initiatives, enabling employees to full their potential and achieve career progression.
* Collaborate with managers to ensure that performance and professional growth conversations, development plans, and feedback processes are consistently and effectively applied.

Learning:

* Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive learning and development programme for the central team, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and individual development goals.
* Manage and maximise the use of the Lift's learning management system, ensuring that it provides valuable learning opportunities for all employees. Analyse usage and feedback to continuously improve the platform's offering and drive employee engagement with learning resources.

Onboarding and induction:

* Deliver and constantly improve our onboarding and induction proposition and programmes to guarantee a positive day one employee experience and that new starters receive role-specific training and support

Candidate profile

* Proven experience in a Talent Specialist, Learning & Development, or similar HR role
* Experience of linking learning and development initiatives with wider talent and performance management strategies
* Experience with LMS management and talent development platforms
* Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
* Strong understanding of EEDI principles and experience in implementing EEDI programmes
* Presence and credibility to work with senior stakeholders
