Client Details
Our client is an UK industry leader in the business services sector. With a workforce of over 5000 employees, they are looking for a newly created Reward Manager who will work at both a strategic and operational level, partnering with senior leadership, the broader people team, and operational colleagues to create a robust and equitable rewards strategy, delivering innovative reward solutions across a large, unionised workforce.
Description
This role will focus on total reward packages, covering everything from compensation benchmarking to benefits administration, job evaluation, recognition programmes, and performance-based reward initiatives.
- Partner with senior operational and people leaders to shape and execute a compelling Group reward, compensation and benefits strategies that drive business success.
- Lead the job benchmarking process to ensure fair and accurate evaluations across the organisation. Conduct regular market reviews to maintain competitive compensation and make timely recommendations for adjustments.
- Oversee the design, procurement, implementation, and management of a comprehensive colleague benefits package, including health and wellbeing programmes, EAP, salary sacrifice and other perks.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the impact of our reward and benefits portfolio, delivering regular reports and insights to senior leadership. Analyse compensation and benefits data to identify trends and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to compensation and benefits.
- Lead the design and delivery of the annual reward and recognition programme, collaborating with Senior Leadership, Operations Directors and Managers.
- Manage day-to-day reward activities such as job evaluations and salary benchmarking, ensuring alignment with company frameworks.
- Develop and maintain job levels, role grading, benefits structures, and competency frameworks.
- Manage key Reward projects across the UK, including annual performance calibrations and pay and incentive cycles.
- Support strategic change initiatives, including organisational design and development, ensuring job profiling is aligned with industry standards.
- Develop innovative reward solutions that support the achievement of our operational goals.
- Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Engagement to deliver clear and consistent messaging, ensuring successful roll-out of the year-round reward and recognition programmes.
- Assist the function head in drafting reports for the Executive Board and Remuneration Committee.
Profile
- Proven extensive experience in reward management within a large, complex, and unionised organisation.
- Demonstratable experience in designing and implementing reward and benefits strategies that support business performance and employee retention.
- Experience in change management, particularly in aligning reward programmes with organisational transformation.
