I am seeking a Learning and Development Adviser to join a superb team in Birmingham, supporting the design and delivery of professional skills development programs and workshops for lawyers and business team members across the EMEA region. This role will involve collaborating with both regional and global teams to create engaging learning opportunities, as well as facilitating training sessions.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and deliver in-person milestone programs and workshops for lawyers across the EMEA region.
  • Manage virtual and in-person professional skills workshops for the Business Team in EMEA.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and create learning solutions.
  • Supervise Learning and Development Coordinators and Administrators.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external faculty to ensure high-quality training delivery.
  • Manage training resources, including materials, budgets, and external vendors.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions, networking activities, and promotional events.
  • Track the effectiveness of programs, gathering feedback and making improvements.
  • Stay on top of trends in learning and development, and propose innovative approaches to enhance the programs.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in Learning and Development, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CIPD) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, video conferencing tools, and learning management systems.
  • A client-focused mindset with a passion for building strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • A resilient, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing needs.

This position offers the flexibility of up to 40% remote work, travel may be required, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the firm's Responsible Business program.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, I'd love to hear from you!
