Description

Responsible for the delivery of the Sydney early careers campaign with the aim of positioning the firm as the law firm employer of choice.

* Responsible for ensuring consistent communication of the firm's key selling messages through the firm's representatives on campus and all marketing communications, including social media and events.

* Support the development of the early careers recruitment brand and all marketing materials in conjunction with the global recruitment and marketing teams, and external marketing and communications agency

* Review target universities and events strategy each year.

* Attend a number of virtual and in-person events during the recruitment season.

* Ensure marketing activities are considered through a sustainable lens to uphold the firm's commitment to sustainable recruitment.

* Leverage student insights and seek independent data on evolving trends and student desires, to ensure we tweak our marketing collateral as appropriate and appeal to target audiences.

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process with a focus on exceptional candidate experience.

* Ensure that recruitment outcomes and the Vacation Clerk program align with the firm's strategy and priorities target headcounts with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion, enhancing the candidate experience, and identifying the ideal profile for our future graduates.

* Review and develop recruitment processes to ensure the firm continues to identify top talent in our applicant pool. Ensure that processes are consistent and compliant with legislative requirements and best practices.

* Provide support for recruitment partners, lawyers, and students throughout the end-to-end Vacation Clerk selection processes, ensuring a positive experience.

* Manage early career resourcing for the Sydney office including managing early career numbers, rotation allocations process and permanent placements process in line with business needs.

* Provide generalist HR support to graduates including managing extended leave, client and international secondments, ensuring the application of the firm's policies and procedures in a consistent manner e.g. absence and benefits. Responding effectively and sensitively to issues of welfare, counselling, bereavement, health and grievance. Escalate any employee relations issues and disciplinary matters relating to graduates to the relevant HR colleague.

Profile

  • Experience of managing the entire early career recruitment lifecycle
  • Experience with leading firms in the legal or professional services sector would be helpful, but we would welcome experience from other similar industries.
  • Ability to build networks and rapport with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Well organised, articulate, numerate and commercial.
  • Strong internal client service focus, client relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Experience of working collaboratively and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously on an agreed plan.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other HR technologies, e.g. Workday.
