Senior HR Advisor, Global Shipping Company, Permanent
£45-50k, 3 days in the office

Your new company
Global shipping company with their EMEA HQ in London. With 12,000 headcount globally, and 400 in the UK. You'll be working within a team of 4 HR professionals (HRD, HRM, Snr Advisor & Advisor).

Your new role

Working in a team of 4, you will be providing HR advice to a head count of around 400 in the central London office. You will deliver HR Generalist advice to managers and employees across your business area covering the full employee life cycle. You will ensure that all cyclical activities are delivered and continuously look to improve processes and deliver a sound advisory service.
Duties will include:

  • Recruitment & onboarding - Supporting managers with hiring, including working with recruitment agencies
  • Employee Relations - Providing support and advice to employees and leaders of the business, managing disputes, tribunals & long-term sickness
  • Onboarding and Offboarding - Processing starters and leavers, ensuring all employees provide an efficient service
  • Payroll - Preparing monthly reports to send off to an external payroll agency
  • Performance Management - Annual performance management through the 9 box grid
  • KPI's Management of Information
  • Employment Engagement
  • Learning & Development - Coordination of L&D, training and talent management programmes


What you'll need to succeed

This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a progression from HR Advisor to Senior HR Advisor, or someone who is already operating at Senior Level, now looking to get into an international company which offers progression. Due to the nature of the role, you will have exposure to senior leadership teams, ideally from a permanent work history background.

Excellent written and verbal communications
Full right to work in the UK
Ability to build relationships internally and externally with providers
Experience of payroll
Currently working for a large company (ideally 500HC+) as an HR Advisor
