Head of HR Business Partnering and HR Operations

  • 12 month FTC to start in February
  • Salary: paying up to £130,000, plus bonus and benefits
  • City of London
  • Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 at home

Oakleaf Partnership is representing a successful, reputable and inclusive International Accountancy firm. They are looking for a Head of HR on a 12 month FTC to manage the Business Partnering Team and HR Operations. This is a pivotal position that offers not just leadership, but the chance to shape the future of talent management within a prestigious firm. You will be collaborating with senior leadership and various departments to drive impactful change as well as influencing and enhancing the commercial skills of your team, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet business needs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop HR Business Partners, guiding them towards their full potential and career progression!

What is the role:


You will be responsible for leading the Business Partnering team and the HR Operations team. You will focus on developing business partnering and client group management skills involving knowledge sharing and addressing challenges. You will ensure that the HRBP's and Advisors meet partnering requirements and manage the People Operations team, supported by a People Operations Manager, to maintain high-quality administrative processes across the employee lifecycle. You will be working closely with Senior Leaders and leading company-wide change initiatives in collaboration with L&D, Talent Acquisition, Reward, and People Operations ensuring the People Strategy is delivered. You will be working with the Head of L&D to help deliver talent programmes and initiatives, identifying trends and opportunities through business engagement. You will be providing value-added services and leading relevant projects, providing evidence-led People Experience solutions, as well as providing informal coaching at the Partner level as needed, and aligning talent management strategies with firm objectives. Skills and experience

  • Demonstrate significant HR leadership experience within Accountancy or Consultancy
  • Demonstrate great people management skills with a development mindset
  • Demonstrate strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills and strong decision making skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to influence different business leaders and management levels
  • Demonstrate commerciality and a strong knowledge of current UK employment law
  • Demonstrate the use of your analytical skills to solve problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to adapt to shifting demands with flexibility and resourcefulness
