People Advisor - Fixed Term Contract (12 months) | £31,500 per annum | Kent | Charity Sector | Immediate Start

As a People Advisor, you'll be providing essential HR support, including recruitment, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with both employment law and internal policies. You will work closely with line managers to ensure they have the guidance they need to manage their teams effectively, while ensuring processes align with best practices.

You'll travel once times a week across the Bromley and Bexley areas, with occasional visits to Hastings and SE London, offering you the chance to make an impact across various locations. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week), and you ideally you have access to a car.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, such as discipline, grievance, absence, and performance management.
• Support the recruitment and selection process, from drafting job adverts to conducting interviews and assisting with onboarding.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed, offering sound advice to managers on all employment-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and assist with HR reporting.

Essential Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years of HR advisory experience (this is not a step-up role).
• A DBS check will be required as part of the process.
