This interim HR Manager position requires an individual with exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. The role involves overseeing HR functions, ensuring smooth operations within the not-for-profit sector for a period of approximately 4-6 weeks.

Our client is an esteemed establishment in the not-for-profit sector, who are committed to making a positive impact in the Canterbury community. They are seeking an interim HR Manager for a period of 4-6 weeks.

Description

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Dealing with ER matters
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process

Profile

A successful 'HR Manager' should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources or CIPD qual
  • Immediately available and able to commit to a 4-6 week assignment
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or other HR executive
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
